William P. Kellogg letter, 1874.

Letter from Kellogg to John A.J. Creswell, Postmaster General, stating that the creation of a sinking fund by an act of the Legislature to pay off the bonded and floating debt of the state had been an exceedingly popular measure with the people, commenting on the cooperation of the state government with the railroads in building a road to Texas, and discussing the future of the Republican Party in Louisiana.
